What made you choose to work in IT?
I've always been curious and driven by an analytical mindset, which led me to enjoy understanding and solving problems. During my studies, I took IT classes, including a development module. That’s when I realized I wanted to pursue a career in the IT sector.
Following this path, I graduated as an engineer in France. I began my career at Sopra Steria France before joining the Swiss branch in 2021.
Could you give us an overview of your role?
I work in an Agile environment, within a Scrum team.
As a Business Analyst, I lead analysis sessions with business stakeholders to prepare user stories.
I’m actively involved in the testing phases—both during sprints to validate user stories and at the end of a release to carry out final tests. I also manage coordination, follow-up, and client communication.
What aspect of your work do you find the most rewarding?
Client relations are an aspect of the job that I particularly enjoy. We collaborate with many different departments, which allows us to meet a wide range of profiles with diverse expectations. It’s incredibly enriching on a daily basis.
I also have the freedom to make suggestions, whether in my day-to-day work with the client or within Sopra Steria.
What is important to you in the development of your career at Sopra Steria?
Managers are receptive and supportive. If I have aspirations for growth, I know I can openly discuss them and build a development plan aligned with the agency’s needs.
We also have a mentoring system in place, along with a Business Analyst community. This gives us the opportunity to connect with experienced professionals, receive advice, and get valuable feedback.
Do you have any advice to give to young graduates?
Being open-minded really matters in our job. Things change all the time in this field, so it’s important to stay curious, build on what you already know, and be willing to try out new tools and ways of working.
