When did you start you career at Sopra Steria Switzerland?
I started my job at Sopra Steria in 2012 in Paris. What started as an internship lead to my role as a full time developer, later on. During my time in Paris, I had the opportunity to work with two major clients, the army and a health insurance company. As I progressed in my career, I took on additional responsibilities, starting as a technical lead and eventually becoming a project manager. 10 years later, I joined Sopra Steria Switzerland! It was an exciting change, and I`ve thoroughly enjoyed working here. Along the way, I also took a year-long sabbatical to travel the world, time for me to choose the best country to join.
What is important to you when it comes to developing your career?
Firstly, having the opportunity to progress at my own pace has been crucial. I value a work environment that recognizes and supports individual growth.
Secondly, being able to experience roles with significant responsibility: I believe that facing challenging situations and taking on leadership roles is essential for personal and professional development.
Lastly, being able to mentor, motivate, and help my team members grow has been a significant aspect of my career development.
Which aspect of your job do you particularly enjoy and why?
One aspect of my job that I enjoy is the risk-taking and entrepreneurial spirit it entails. I thrive on the global nature of my role, which involves client management, operational leadership, HR management, and business development. Working with major clients and building long-term partnerships brings me immense satisfaction, as it allows me to drive innovation and contribute to Sopra Steria`s success.
What does Freedom mean to you?
Professionally, it means having the freedom to work in various countries across the world while representing Sopra Steria, an independent entity that is constantly building its future. This allows me to experience different cultures, broaden my perspectives, and contribute to the company`s global growth.
