What made you choose to work in IT?
After my studies, I worked for three years as a Java and Angular developer. In 2020, Sopra Steria Switzerland contacted me for a profile-based opportunity, which allowed me to join the company.
After spending eight years in technical roles as a developer, I felt the need to evolve. Having always had an interest in business aspects, I took internal training courses to become a Business Analyst.
At the beginning of 2025, I was offered a new assignment that enabled me to make this transition a reality. My technical background was a real asset in successfully making this change.
Could you give us an overview of your role?
As a Business Analyst, I interact daily with users and clients to gather their needs. I also collaborate with the application manager to ensure expectations are clearly understood.
Based on these discussions, I formalize the requirements and contribute to the implementation of the solution. For the product I’m responsible for, I also carry out functional testing. The goal is to offer this product to various business units.
What aspect of your work do you find the most rewarding?
I enjoy interacting with a diverse range of profiles—from information systems managers to end users, including project managers.
I find it rewarding to understand the purpose behind my work and its tangible impact on the business.
What is important to you in the development of your career at Sopra Steria?
When I expressed my desire to move into a new role, my manager supported me by offering internal training, which helped make the transition possible.
One aspect I particularly appreciate at Sopra Steria is the diversity of its clients. The opportunity to work across various sectors such as insurance, public services, and banking makes each assignment especially enriching.
