When did you start your job at Sopra Steria Switzerland?

I started my job at Sopra Steria Switzerland in September 2022, after moving from Berlin to Switzerland in August.
I was immediately given a very warm welcome by my colleagues and they took the time to help me with a smooth transfer of knowledge. When it came to my new tasks, they consulted with me from the very beginning to make sure that they matched my interests and challenged me. I was very impressed by the many new opportunities.

What was important to you when it comes to developing your career at Sopra Steria?

For me, it is important to train my skills and develop my career through continuous training. At Sopra Steria Switzerland, I have the opportunity to take control of where I want to go. This flexibility is very valuable to me.
A regular exchange with my superiors about my goals is also very important to me. I can use the mission review, a technical meeting that takes place six months before the annual performance review, to talk about tasks, progress and opportunities for improvement.

Which aspect of your job do you particularly enjoy and why?

The project environment is extremely varied. There is always something new to learn and challenges to overcome. I work with different people and teams, which brings different cultures and languages together. These challenges make for an exciting and educational workday.
Collaborating with different professional groups is also a big plus. I`ve already taken part in training sessions with the cantonal police or conducted integrations with suppliers. Depending on the test, these take place at our plant or on site.

What does Freedom mean to you?

Professionally, freedom for me means choosing my own career path. I have the opportunity to pursue my goals and interests and shape my own professional development. In doing so, I can choose training courses and continuing education that meet my needs and ambitions. This freedom is supported by my employer, which gives me the feeling that my professional development is in my own hands.
