How has your career progressed at Sopra Steria?
I have been working at Sopra Steria since 2013.
I started in Madrid where I was working in banking for six years. During this time, I had the opportunity to move to Nantes (France) and work there for six months, which was very rewarding, both personally and professionally. Looking for a new professional challenge, I I found my place in Sopra Steria Switzerland and enjoy working here ever since.
I began my professional journey as a Java developer and progressed to the role of a business analyst. Presently, I am employed as a Business Analyst and Product Owner at Canton of Vaud.
What do you like the most about Sopra Steria?
There are a lot of great things that I really appreciate. I like the fact that it is a large and international company. This makes it easier to work in different projects and countries. I also like the fact that Sopra Steria Switzerland behaves like a family despite it`s size. We can share our opinions and we are heard, whether by our teammates or by the managers.
Another remarkable feature of Sopra Steria is that people are considerate of their own professional goals. At the beginning of my career, I was a Java developer. After I shared my interest in business analysis with the company, I was given the opportunity to make the switch. Today, I am proud to say that I work as a Business Analyst and Product Owner at Canton of Vaud.
This change required a lot of training, which Sopra Steria provided in the form of courses, technical certifications, etc.
What do you like to do in your free time in Switzerland?
I like to observe nature and learn from it. I like swimming in Lac Léman and hiking in the Swiss mountains to discover new horizons. I like to travel, practice yoga, draw, attend jazz concerts and photo exhibitions.
I try to lead a lifestyle that respects the environment. And I love to have fun with my family and friends.
